The palatopharyngeal arch is located near the |uvula| and palate. The palate forms the roof of the |mouth|. The |hard palate| is located in the front of the |mouth| and the soft palate is in the back near the |pharynx| (throat). The small |uvula| hangs like a pendulum from the middle of the soft palate. On each side of the base of the ulvula are two curved folds of |mucous membrane| called the palatopharyngealarches.
